Waiting On The Lord

Isaiah 49:23 – “I am the Lord; for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.”

The Word of the Lord encourages us to have our hope and trust in the Lord and when we do that be rest assured that –
  • We will never be 'Disappointed'
  • We will renew our 'Strength'
  • We will 'Soar on wings like eagles'
  • We will run and 'Not grow weary'
  • We will walk and 'Not be faint'
Sometimes waiting on the Lord is a stressful process; however when we willingly commit our lives to God then our weaknesses will give way to God’s strength.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Out Of The Net

Psalms 25:15 – “My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare”


In other words – 'He shall pluck my feet ‘out of the net’

Are you in the middle of some kind of net a today?
There could be situations (challenges) around us which can easily entangle us and keep us from being free (in our mind, heart) and there could also be situation where we have failed to realize that we are caught in the net until we begin to move out (step out).

But when our eyes are fixed on the Lord, no matter how big (wide or strong) the net is, we have a much ‘bigger’ God to pluck our feet (release us) out of the net.

The enemy would have laid a trap/net (emotional/mental/physical) to catch us, but our Everlasting and Ever-loving God is always ready (prepared) to set us free.

Let’s walk boldly casting all our cares upon the Lord and He will surely guard (protect/release) us from every snare of the enemy.

God Our Refuge

Psalms 71:1 – “In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.”


My God Is My Refuge – How many times have we declared this upon our lives?

For those who trust in the Lord will NEVER be put to shame. This is a promise of God which we can boldly claim it over our lives. Where do we run to when we go through life’s challenges? Do we run to the intellect or may be to our closest buddy to share and take advice/counseling?

The fact remains that the one who created us (breathed life into us) knows much more about us than anyone else. When we go through challenges/adversities; God knows it beforehand and also has a perfect (right) solution to come out of it victoriously.

Let’s run to Him and take cover at such times as He will never allow us to be put to shame and will uphold us with His righteous right hand.

Commitment To The Lord

Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”


This is really a great encouragement for all of us to know that God is really interested in our well-being (prosperity) and He wants to give us the desires of our heart and make all our plans succeed.

He expects (looks at) our commitment to Him, so the great questions here is that - Do we take all our plans before Him and allow Him to weigh them to know our motives? Because God must give us the ability to articulate and accomplish those plans and He will not do that unless the motives are clear (clean).

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” (V.9)


Let’s commit all our plans before God today and allow him to weigh them so that He releases the power to accomplish (establish) them.

My Grace Is Sufficient

2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”.



Human weakness provides the ideal opportunity for the display of divine power. Here we see that Paul had a thorn in his flesh – the nature of thorn (or torment) is not known, however it certainly weakened him, and when he pleaded to God to remove it, then God had a better solution than to just remove Paul’s thorn.

It could be a real life situation that we are facing right now or some kind of sickness that we are desperately waiting for healing and God wants to display His power in our lives during these times so that not only us, but the world around us can see the power of God being displayed in our weakness.

We need to understand the greater and glorious cause (ways) that God has in (through) our lives.

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” – Ephesians 3:18-19

Fear Not

Isaiah 43:1 – “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine”


What a great remark – You are the chosen one!  - It really brings a great amount of comfort and encouragement in our lives.

Someone had done a research and found out that the word “Fear Not” appears 365 times in the Bible, which means God is telling us every day ‘Not to fear' and not only that He has created us, called us by name and forever we belong to Him.

Surely God’s goodness and mercy follows us all the days of our life.

Sheep among Wolves

Mathew 10:16 – “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves”.



God knows about the world that we are living in, the situations, conditions, circumstances, and people that we will be facing in our day today life. The behaviors, feelings & emotions that we will be encountering, so He wants us to be like sheep – submissive, good-tempered, amiable, humble, gentle, meek, with self-control.

And be shrewd like snakes? – This is something different - sheep & snake are two different animals and in the book of Genesis we see Satan in the form of a ‘snake’ – ‘the deceiver’, now we got to look at the physiological framework of a snake – snake doesn't have ears, so it receives vibrations from the surrounding based on which it reacts – so the learning here is that we need to understand the vibes/sense the situation/circumstance and then react, however being innocent like the doves.

Weapons

Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper”


The dictionary meaning of ‘weapon’ is – ‘anything used against an opponent'

Now this means that it doesn’t have to be necessarily a device or instrument, it can be anything.

The weapon can be word, strategies, plans, actions, situations, decisions etc., so God speaks to us this morning and says that ‘no weapon (with /without form) has been formed (designed) to work against us. 

Wow! What a powerful verse – It means that nothing in this world (inside/outside) can harm us in anyway.

Lets’ take (receive) this Word into our lives today because the one who has created us is with us and when He is with us then NOTHING in this world can be against us!
